Moosecalac Fund Raiser Another Success
Since 2005, Moosecalac hockey tournament has raised over $275,000 and all of that money has been returned to the community. The event is all for charity and all funds raised go support Sick Children and local Kid’s activities in Greenstone. This year, Gillons supported a 4 year old boy from Beardmore with an auto immune disease and has been receiving therapy since October 2019. Our LA Kings jersey was auctioned off this year and proceeds went to our sponsored boy and his family!

Atikokan Bass Classic Kid’s Fishing Tournament
Little anglers having fun at the Atikokan Bass Classic Kid’s tournament. We were so excited to have a record breaking number of little anglers at the Atikokan Bass Classic Kid’s Tournament at Minnow Pond. Each participant was given a Gillons whistle to make sure we knew when they had a big catch. Our very own Angela Goodwin and Carolyn Anderson both fished in the tournament this year and had a great time in the parade. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this such a fantastic event!
Road hockey action with the George Jeffrey Foundation. Our Thunder Bay team got out of the office for a little road hockey press conference with the George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation in support of their Hometown Heroes golf tournament. It was all friendly competition and the real winners are all the children this great charity helps ever day. We also had a blast at the golf tournament along with our friends from Northbridge Insurance.

The volunteers who put on the tournament always make sure there is plenty of coffee and donuts to go around. Our very own David Byrnes and Luc Romaniuk competed this year, and our volunteers can assure you their boats were checked very thoroughly! Thanks as always to the event organizers for always doing such a great job.

Some of our Kenora team helping with organizing, boat checks, and getting Huskie ready for the Lake of the Woods Women’s Walleye tournament. Spring Up to Clean Up
Our team took to the streets to clean up around our office on Red River Road and the surrounding area. Spring was in the air while our team worked hard at cleaning up the surrounding area of 214 Red River Road. Thanks to Eco Superior for getting us out of the office and giving us supplies to get our neighborhood ready for the summer. We look forward to helping with this initiative every year.
